What is Ad-Hoc Drill-Down?​

Ad-hoc drill-down lets you instantly explore your data without any pre-configuration. With just a right-click on any cell or column in a table or pivot, you can dive deeper into related dimensions—making it easy to answer follow-up questions on the fly.

How to use Ad-Hoc Drill Down?​

Available On: Any visualization.

To use Ad-Hoc Drill Down, do the following:

  1. Right-click a column value (for example, Department = Sales).

  2. Select a drill-down option from the menu.

  3. Choose the next dimension you want to explore (such as Gender, Location, or Manager). Instantly view the data broken down by your selected dimension.
